Inge Hedenstad Stangeland

Prosjektleder Industriutvikling - Kvinesdal kommune

Inge Hedenstad Stangeland works as a Project manager of industrial development in the Municipality of Kvinesdal, located in the western part of the Agder Region. Kvinesdal is an important hub in the electrical system in Norway with production of hydropower and onshore wind, a large substation, strong transmission-grid and an inter-connecting cable to the Netherlands (700 MW). There are two large-scale projects of green ammonia (2X500 MW+) under planning near the large Statnett substation. The consortium Ventyr wants to bring offshore wind from Southern North Sea II (1400 MW) to the «hub» in Kvinesdal by 2031.

Inge works to make sure that the Municipality of Kvinesdal learns the value-chains of hydrogen, ammonia, offshore-wind and circular economy in a wide sense to facilitate the projects in Kvinesdal and Agder region. Inge has more than 20 years of experience as CEO of several of Norway’s largest «host-municipalities» of hydropower-systems and onshore windfarms. Inge holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Agder. The Municipality of Kvinesdal is a partner together with 25 other partners in the Interreg Øresund, Kattegat and Skagerak-project Green Jutland-corridor, which focus on sustainable transport of goods and people on road and rail and at sea. The Green Jutland-corridor analyzes the use of Hydrogen and derivates as future fuels in the corridor.
